La Liga side Real Madrid got their third win in as many game this term. The club seems to be doing well post Cristiano Ronaldo, and it is even the forward that is struggling to cope post Madrid. The Welshman gave the Champions League defending champs the lead with an acrobatic volley but Leganes equalized from the spot to go 1-1 at half time. Casemiro had fouled Eraso so the ref pointed to the spot. Guido Carrillo made no mistake from that spot.
The team got comfortable and started enjoying the game, going through the opposition and causing trouble. Isco and Bale had their chances skillfully going through the Leganes defenders but eventually Madrid could not extend the scoreline.
It seems Ramos took over Ronaldo’s penalty duties, Bale takes the free kicks and has been the star. Benzema has risen up to the occasion and has been hitting goals after goals.
For now there are fewer worries for the side than to keep getting better. They have an ‘easy’ draw in Group G where they play AS Roma, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen after the international break and a La Liga fixture against Bilbao. However in the final week in September, they face Sevilla and Atletico Madrid respectively.
