BALE RETURNS TO WALES SQUAD

Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale made his return to the Wales squad during the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Belarus at the weekend. The Welsh fans were delighted to have him back in their quest to seal a place at the World Cup tournament next year.

Gareth Bale was named in the Wales starting XI for the Belarus game on his return from a two-month injury layoff. The Real Madrid star had missed the last two months due to a hamstring problem. Gareth Bale had notplayed since the September international break.His first game back from injury was against Belarus.

Bale and Wales took a big step towards securing second place in Group E with a dominant victory over Belarus in front of their home fans. The Welsh team showed class against their visitors on the way to a 5-1 win. Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey was the star of the show with two goals either side of the half-time interval.

Ramsey was responsible for the first goal of the match as early as the third minute. Liverpool fullback Neco Williams added a second goal for Wales on 20 minutes. The first half goals from Ramsey and Williams was enough to give the Welsh team a 2-0 lead at the half-time interval.

Ex-Arsenal star Ramsey completed his brace five minutes into the second half to edge Wales 3-0 ahead. Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies scored the fourth Wales goal with 13 minutes left on the clock for his first goal in the colours of his country. Belarus pulled one back through ArtemKontsevoy three minutes from time, but Wales still had time to regain their four-goal lead through Conor Roberts on 89 minutes.

Gareth Bale was given 45 minutes by Wales manager Robert Paige as he was eased back from injury.
